Key Responsibilities:
* Help in the design of food menu.
* Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste.
* Oversee and supervise kitchen staff.
* Assist with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
* Ensure that food is top quality, and that kitchen is in good condition.
* Recent previous experience as Sous Chef in a busy, but organised 4* star hotel/restaurant kitchen.
* Extensive knowledge of good food handling, food standards and presentation.
* Proven success at leading a team to achieve high standards.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, communication and motivational skills.
* Ability to motivate team.
* Sound knowledge and passion for food.
* Thorough knowledge of HACCP.
* Thorough knowledge of kitchen management.
* Honest, reliable and hardworking.
* Demonstrate knowledge of cost structures and budget.
