Accounts Payable Manager
Harper Finley have partnered with a leading recycling management company to hire an Accounts Payable Manager to work on a full time, permanent basis. This company has been at the forefront of the green waste initiative over the past 15+ years, making this a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader. This role will oversee the Accounts Payable function and will be responsible for leading a team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with prior team management experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee the accounts payable function by clearly defining responsibilities, providing guidance, and supporting team development through training and performance management.
* Ensure optimal utilization of the system by effectively managing accounts payable processes.
* Collaborate proactively with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
* Lead and support ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder cooperation.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, including workflows and desktop instructions, ensuring regular updates and adherence by the team.
* Ensure the team possesses the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively, fostering continuous development through coaching and training.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
* 3 – 4 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
* Management experience with oversight of the Accounts Payable function
* Strong experience with MS Office, Excel, and Accounting software
* Experience in implementing new processes and procedures
