Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading multinational medical device organization based in Roscommon.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve existing production processes and procedures.
* Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment, changes, and improvements.
* Interface with internal personnel and outside vendors as necessary.
* Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures for assigned processes or areas.
* Communicate concerns about work processes related to environmental impact, health, or safety issues to the manager.
* Set up equipment and facilitate changeovers.
* Calibrate equipment.
* Perform scheduled PMs.
* Change injection moulds as required.
* Implement process improvements.
* Support projects as required.
* Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered in relation to purchasing, waste management, recycling, and energy.
* Conform to quality and environmental management system requirements.
* Undertake ad hoc duties and projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Hold a qualification in fitter, toolmaker, electrician, or mechatronic.
* Previous experience in dynamic cleanroom manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device area.
* Experience with changeovers and troubleshooting on injection moulding, Multivac packaging, extrusion blow moulding, automated lines, and ultrasonic welding.
* Experience completing maintenance tasks on range of equipment.
* Strong team player with ability to work independently.
