Join the US equities team which is responsible for proprietary trading of US cash equites.
The Analyst will work closely with various members of the trading team. The Analyst will focus on a core short list of U.S. stocks, monitoring daily news flow, broker reports, and maintaining up-to-date KPIs. This detailed coverage will enhance our headline trading by providing real-time insights into consensus estimates and prior figures. The analyst will also do analysis of upcoming events for a wider list of US stocks.
What you’ll be involved in:
Building and updating financial models and KPIs for a short list of US stocks, primarily within the TMT sector.
Tracking of buy and sell-side consensus for this shortlist
Monitoring volatility events across a broader universe of names. Prepare event distributions ahead of significant events and update them as new information emerges.
Continuously monitor the news flow for the broader list of stocks to stay informed of any market-moving developments.
Covering essential tasks and duties of the team members if they are away to ensure the smooth continuation of daily operations, projects, and client communications.
What we need from you:
Demonstrates strong attention to detail by ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Shows diligence in consistently updating financial models and maintaining organised records for a designated list of stocks.
Brings a natural curiosity and proactive approach to solving problems and seeking new insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well within a team, collaborating to achieve shared goals and contribute to team success.
Proven experience in a stock analyst role, with a preference for buy-side experience.
Has familiarity with Excel and Python, which would be considered a valuable asset for the role.
