Your New Job
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Manage the finance function and team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls.
* Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and longer-term financial planning in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
* Focus on cost analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments for the company’s product portfolio.
* Oversee and participate in the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
* Support the leadership team with monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and insights to drive business performance and improve cost efficiency.
* Work closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to assess market opportunities, pricing adjustments, and cost-effectiveness of initiatives.
* Provide oversight, guidance and support to the finance team on financial reporting and accounting duties. Supervise cash flow and working capital management, ensuring financial stability.
* Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
* Support business growth by evaluating investment opportunities, funding requirements, and return on investment for new projects.
* Lead ERP improvements and reporting enhancements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
* Act as a key contributor to product development processes, offering insights on costings, margins, and financial feasibility.
* Drive ESG initiatives and targets, including sustainability and environmental accounting.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Actively participate in cross-functional management meetings, contributing to Operational, Marketing, Quality and NPD strategy discussions.
What Are We Looking For?
* Qualified Accountant with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
* Strong experience in financial management, with a focus on cost analysis, pricing, and commercial strategy.
* Background in food production or FMCG sectors is preferred.
* Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices and regulations is an advantage.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
