Base pay range
Handyperson (€40- €50k plus pension and healthcare)
Responsibilities
As a Handyperson you will work as part of a maintenance team in a large office environment to maintain daily upkeep of the internal and external fabric of sites, self-performing planned and reactive maintenance particularly with respect to surface finishes, ensuring the highest possible standards throughout the buildings.
The ideal candidate will be customer focused, highly motivated, proactive and show great initiative to keep the Facilities running smoothly.
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
* Participate in creating and enhancing our safety culture.
* Log quality hazards and ensure resulting actions are closed out.
* Understand company and Client health and Safety policies and procedures and ensure all work is carried out in adherence with them.
* Wear and ensure the use of personal protective equipment when required.
* Ensure building fabric maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with the tasks as set out and Site SOPs, Processes, and any adopted procedures.
* Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
* Liaise with all teams to ensure the site is operated in accordance with local legislation.
* Strive for ZERO reportable accidents/incidents as a result of company action or inaction.
* Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies.
* Ensure the Integrated Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems are adhered to at all times.
Operations
* Actively contribute to team huddles and meetings where applicable.
* Ensure all specific facilities issues are logged and ensure remedial actions are completed proactively.
* Liaise with colleagues and specialist contractors to ensure all requests are responded to promptly.
* Carry out various fabric and grounds duties including general fabric repairs, carpentry, plumbing repairs, painting, floor repairs, furniture repairs, tiling jobs, plastering and repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance on all building fabric, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations.
* Assist with desk relocations, office moves, and event setups as requested by the Facilities Coordinators.
* Identify issues through completion of weekly building walkthroughs.
* Ensure that any self-perform or third party maintenance tasks completed on the contract are captured through the CMMS system (Maximo).
* Ensure the upkeep of the building fabric through the Client ticketing system responding to and resolving reactive requests.
People
* Help to sustain and enhance our team culture of recognition.

* Ensure works carried out by third party suppliers adhere to the clients and company policies and procedures.
* Host & induct specialist sub-contractors, ensuring they conform to site requirements.
* Carry out quality audits on suppliers using company’s quality systems, where applicable.
Finance
* Manage and report job progress using local tracking documents.
* Ensure correct items are ordered to reduce restocking charges.
* Engage in the commercial process where third party works or materials are required on site.
Project and Programs
* Support company Projects team as required with refurbishments, renovations, fit outs or new buildings.
* Assist with ad-hoc projects to enhance the office environment or in reaction to Client requests.
* Review existing building operating systems and identify opportunities to decrease energy usage and increase operating efficiencies.
* Continuously seek improvement opportunities.
Undertake all other duties & tasks as reasonably requested by your line manager.
