Meet the team
At its heart, RTÉ is a creative organisation, making and commissioning a broad range of high-quality content to serve multiple platforms and diverse audiences. With that in mind, RTÉ is seeking to recruit an experienced Graphic Designer within our Design Department.
Reporting to the Manager of Design, you will be an experienced creative with an active interest in design, VFX, software, and emerging trends.

* To produce high quality motion and digital design across all RTÉ platforms, including creating reusable assets such as templates, fonts and logos
* To work effectively on your own or as part of a design team
* Foster and maintain excellent stakeholder relations
* To ensure content reflects our diverse audiences
* To keep up to date with emerging industry trends
* Be accountable for the quality of your work and ensure it meets intended purposes
* Be accountable for the usability and accessibility of design deliveries for the broadest possible cross-section of users
About you:
* Professional graphic design experience and a relevant design qualification
* Demonstrable experience with digital and motion graphics design within television or multi-media production
* The ability to work quickly and creatively under pressure and deliver against set deadlines
* Strong communication skills to manage editorial needs and prioritise effectively
* Understand the importance of designing for a given target audience and RTÉ's values in accuracy and impartiality
* A passion for and an understanding of Public Service Broadcasting and knowledge of RTÉ’s output
* Substantial experience of design delivery using:
o Adobe CC; Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.
o Other relevant software including Premier Pro, Cinema 4D, Maya, blender, Vizrt, and Figma is desirable.
The role may include, depending on assignments, the requirement to work as part of a scheduled team which may include long days, weekends and bank holidays.

This appointment is being offered on a Full Time Permanent basis. It will be made at the Graphic Designer grade, the salary scale for this grade is from €55,155 to €70,748 gross per annum.
We are also seeking to fill an additional 3-month fixed term contract, also at the Graphic Designer grade.
