We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager (Production).
Process & People Management in this very busy role, required to be a problem solver and manage a core team of 10 - 13 operators.
Shift Management Leading the Team to achieve targets/KPIs Set weekly targets and objectives for the Shift Team Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice Monitor and control costs Safe working practices of the team, contractors and visitors Ensure team are trained, ensure quality, safe procedures / process.
Maintain and nurture positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance Maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development Requirements The Shift Manager will be expected to cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of production.
Contribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment Drive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systems Ensure traceability of the raw materials Experience 2 years + experience in a management/supervisory role in the manufacturing Industry Third level qualification in a related field is desirable SAP/MES Scada experience highly desirable Understanding of Microsoft Suite is required Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills Requirements A minimum of 3+ years' experience in supply chain/logistics/planning within a fast paced, high tech and high-volume environment is essential Proven track record in managing complex projects, strategic vendor and/or business partner relationships Third level qualification in Business or related discipline with an emphasis towards Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Manufacturing Strong understanding of planning, scheduling and inventory control policies Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with very strong business acumen Strong problem-solving and decisive, analytical aptitude Supply Chain Systems & SAP knowledge Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, particularly Excel & PowerPoint Proficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process data
