Job Description
The Residential Manager will lead and manage the delivery and development of an assisted living residential service for older adults in conjunction with members and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
* Report updates and progress on all matters related to the service to The Conference / Management Committee on a regular basis.
* Collaborate with the National Children and Family Services Manager for line management.
Requirements
Education and Experience
* A third-level qualification at Level 7 NQF or higher in Social Care, Social Work, Social Studies, Care of the Elderly, Healthcare, or a relevant discipline, with at least three years' post-qualification experience in a leadership/management role serving older adults.
* OR Six years of experience in a leadership/management role serving older adults is essential.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Familiarity with policy and best practice issues affecting older adults, person-centred care, and key agencies working on behalf of older adults.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in this area.
* Awareness of HSE standards for Adult Community Care and Older Person Services.
* Experience working directly with older adults or similar age groups in a support and/or residential setting.
* Proven leadership skills and experience leading a team.
* Ability to coordinate programs focusing on personal, educational, emotional, and social development.
* Experience in the community/voluntary sector/social care environment.
