Job Title: Facilities Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team in Limerick. With a strong background in engineering and facility management, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Drawings Management: Update drawings across various sites to ensure contract compliance through site visits to reflect actual installations.
2. Project Engineering: Ensure project engineering work is completed compliantly with regard to execution and documentation.
3. Specifications and Drawings: Provide detailed project specifications, drawings, procedures, tender documents, etc.
4. Capital Expenditure: Prepare capital expenditure requests and cost estimates, monitoring project spend.
5. Installation and Commissioning: Manage Installation, Commissioning & Validation of Equipment as required.
6. Contractor Supervision: Supervise contractors associated with project work.
7. Facilities Support: Support renovations and upgrades of existing facilities.
8. Drawing Issuance: Ensure all drawings and associated project programs are issued and up to date.
9. Project Delivery: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to budget, meet client quality standards, and have required functionality.
10. Cost Control: Manage cost control and review costs with objective of reducing subcontractor costs.
11. Facilities Budget: Manage Facilities budget and ensure compliance with financial forecasting process.
12. Energy Management: Responsible for energy management on site, and identification and implementation of energy reduction and awareness programs.
13. Office Moves: Support Coordination of office moves, desk allocations, and space management.
14. Plant Drawing Changes: Responsible for review and sign off of plant drawing change requests.
15. KPIs and SLAs: Manage site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
16. Maintenance Activities: Assist with operations maintenance activities as necessary.
17. Self-Improvement: To be a self-performing technician and continuously strive for self-improvement.
18. Reporting: Provide relevant information to assist with generation of reports.
Requirements:
1. Engineering Qualification: Third level engineering qualification or equivalent.
2. Experience: Experience in an engineering environment in a related industry for at least two years will provide a good foundation for this job function.
3. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
4. Decision-Making: Ability to make on-the-spot decisions.
5. Dynamic Approach: Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement.
6. Motivation: Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
