Position Overview
The Regional Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of Manor Homecare. This role requires a strategic leader who ensures the smooth and efficient delivery of homecare services, meeting regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality care to clients. The Regional Director will lead multiple teams, drive operational efficiency, and support the company’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
Promote the highest standards of care and service - ensuring quality standards are maintained within all aspects of the business and in line with the Company, HSE and HIQA standards.
2. Develop and manage relationships with clients, HSE/PHN's/OT's and home support office.
3. Provide support and leadership to our Healthcare staff.
4. Ensure all homecare packages are filled on a timely and ongoing basis.
5. Ensure the delivery of all staff training.
6. Oversee the rostering and scheduling and on-call cover.
7. Work with HR and manage the recruitment process.
8. Participate in the development and marketing of the company.
9. Manage the Administrative and Care staff delivering Homecare services.
10. Other tasks which may be assigned to contribute to the development of the post.
1. Team Management:
Oversee and support managers and teams across various departments, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all services comply with legal, regulatory, and health and safety standards (e.g., HIQA standards in Ireland). Monitor and maintain high standards of care.
3. Human Resources:
Ensure that all human resources policies & procedures are implemented across each of your region and work with the HR team on staff recruitment, forecasting, training & retention.
4. Client Relations:
Work closely with clients and families to ensure care plans meet individual needs. Respond to feedback and resolve issues promptly.
5. Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic operational plans that support business growth and sustainability.
6. Performance Management:
Set performance targets for teams and individuals, ensuring key metrics such as service delivery, client satisfaction, and staff engagement are met or exceeded.
7. Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation without compromising service quality.
8. Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulators to support the organisation’s mission and operational goals.
9. Technology and Systems Management:
Oversee the use and implementation of homecare management systems, ensuring operational efficiency and accurate reporting.
10. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard staff and clients.
11. Training and Development:
Ensure the ongoing training and development of staff to meet service needs and professional standards.
12. Project Management:
Lead and manage key projects that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
13. General:
Ensure that emeis Group Standards are adhered to at all times.
14. Ensure that emeis reporting requests are adhered to in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer.
15. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
16. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
17. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years in a management role, preferably in healthcare, Homecare/Nursing Homes or Social Care sectors preferred.
* Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff.
* Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of homecare regulations and standards, particularly HIQA (for Ireland).
* Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational excellence.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, families, and external stakeholders.
* Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation.
* Technology: Proficiency with homecare management systems and related technologies.
* Flexibility: Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Previous team management experience essential.
* Eligible to work in Ireland

Pay: €65,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
