The Organisation Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in the West Dublin area. We support people with a wide range of support needs across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training. Role Purpose To provide a person-centered, evidence-based Physiotherapy service as part of a multi- disciplinary team to young adults between the age of 17.5 and 29.5 years across various day services in North Dublin. This service involves assessment, intervention, programme planning and implementation, discharge and onwards referrals. Services provision may include directive, monitoring and consultative approaches. The post holder will work in conjunction with members of the multidisciplinary young adult team (YAT) to enhance the quality of life of the people within the Young Adult Team service. Role requirements Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification. Professional Qualifications received outside the Republic of Ireland including the U.K must be validated by the Validation unit of CORU prior to commencement of employment. Registered with CORU as a Physiotherapist Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) Minimum of three years satisfactory post qualification experience Excellent communication skills Evidence of the ability to achieve results through effective collaboration in a complex environment.
