My Client is looking for a Legal Secretary for a busy Dublin 2 Solicitor’s firm to provide support and general administrative assistance for a Conveyancing Solicitor / Litigation Solicitor.
This is a great opportunity to work in a progressive Law Firm. Prior experience in a busy and demanding Legal Secretary role is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
1. Reception Cover;
2. Transcribing dictation;
3. Dictaphone – 68 wpm;
4. Filing and Archiving;
5. Sorting, Scanning, Filing & general administrative support;
6. Diary management and arranging meetings;
7. Maintaining calendars;
8. Monitoring Trial dates and call over lists;
9. Formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documents;
10. Collecting information and preparing legal documents for the Law Clerk;
11. Corresponding with Clients, Experts, Counsel, Solicitors and Witnesses;
12. Preparing Declarations, Contracts and formatting legal documents;
13. Court – Requisitions on Title;
14. Land Registry/PRA;
15. Banks – Obtaining Title Deeds;
16. Billing, cheque requisitioning;
17. Scheduling Deeds/Documents;
18. Other ad hoc activities as required.
Skills and Experience:
1. Prior experience in a similar position;
2. Excellent organizational skills;
3. Strong attention to detail;
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills;
5. Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines;
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Case management system would be a distinct advantage.
