Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
2. Design, develop, test, debug, and deliver new products and features based on Microsoft SQL technologies (T-SQL/SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
3. Design, develop, and deploy reporting solutions (SSRS).
4. Design, develop, and deploy integration packages (SSIS).
5. Assist with effort estimates and project schedules.
6. Enhance and maintain system functionality.
7. Troubleshoot and improve system performance.
8. Install and maintain MS SQL servers running MS SQL server 2012 in an enterprise-level production environment.
9. Plan backup and recovery of databases.
10. Configure, deploy, and maintain database servers.
11. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code.
12. Conduct systems analysis to recommend changes in policies and procedures.
13. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools and techniques; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
14. Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
15. Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
16. Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Computing.
2. Proficient at analyzing information.
3. Excellent SQL Server database development & administration skills including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SSRS & SSAS. Familiarity with Java is a plus.
4. Skills in software design, debugging, documentation, testing, problem-solving, teamwork, development fundamentals, and requirements.
5. 2+ years experience in a MS SQL Database Developer role with proficiency in writing T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SSRS & SSAS.
6. Great database design and analysis skills.
7. 1+ years of administration of Microsoft SQL 2008+ in a high transaction 24*7 environment.
