About the Role
CPL Healthcare is delighted to announce an opportunity for experienced professionals to join our team as a Safeguarding Manager for a not-for-profit international voluntary organisation based in Dublin.
The Safeguarding Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults and children who receive services from the charity.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing safeguarding policies, procedures, and work processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place.
* Investigating allegations, complaints, serious incidents, and other safeguarding concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
* Providing guidance and support to staff on safeguarding matters.
* Maintaining accurate records and reports on safeguarding activities and outcomes.
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver training programs on safeguarding best practices.
* Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry developments to ensure the organization remains compliant and at the forefront of safeguarding practices.
Requirements
* An approved qualification in Social Work at NFQ Level 8 or Higher and registered with (or eligible to register) with CORU.
* OR A recognised qualification in Social Care, Child Care, Nursing or Youth Work;
* OR A recognised postgraduate qualification in Safeguarding, child protection and welfare, safeguarding vulnerable adults. Other appropriate education and/or experience relevant to the role will be considered.
* At least 5 years of experience working in or within a similar role with Safeguarding and Child Protection Responsibilities.
* At least 5 years' experience dealing with safeguarding allegations, complaints, serious incidents, and investigations.
* Experience of working at a mid/senior management level is required.
* Previous experience within the Data Protection compliance field, able to demonstrate a strong understanding of GDPR and associated legislation.
