About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Galway. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for introducing and validating new equipment.
You will analyze process, product, material, or equipment specifications and performance requirements, working closely with technicians, operators, and other teams to ensure business process success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyzing process, product, material, or equipment specifications and performance requirements;
* Working with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production/engineering issues;
* Summarizing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from test results leading to effective technical resolution;
* Transferring and validating equipment from one clean room to another;
* Driving continuous improvements in process equipment design, layout, and operational performance;
* Collaborating with technicians, operators, and other teams to ensure business process success;
* Contributing to NPI (New Product Introduction) development;
* Performing root cause analysis using Lean tools and techniques;
* Writing and improving process procedures;
* Conducting PCA (Process Change Analysis);
* Demonstrating good working knowledge and application of validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements;
* Promoting and participating in cross-functional teamwork;
* Evaluating new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect;
* Providing technical guidance to Associate Engineers and technicians;
* Ensuring all direct reports understand their commitment to patient safety and product quality;
* Understanding and complying with regulations governing quality systems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (mechanical, manufacturing, etc.);
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in automated manufacturing, preferably with Lean skills, Six Sigma, 5S, and project management;
* Leadership and technical guidance experience preferred.
