The Head of Regulatory Affairs will play a critical role in ensuring the credit union's financial stability, protecting its reputation, and meeting regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing appropriate responses to eliminate or mitigate risk to an acceptable level. This includes effectively managing risks, identifying opportunities that can enhance the credit union's financial stability, and making informed decisions that support sustainable growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a Risk and Compliance qualification to diploma level and a minimum of 5 years experience in a risk and/or compliance role or financial services management role with an emphasis on risk, compliance, AML/CFT or Data Protection. They will be self-motivated, experienced in working within a senior leadership team, and able to lead a Regulations team effectively. Additionally, they will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be efficient and well organized, and possess good analytical ability and demonstrated project management skills.
