As an integral part of a strong commercial team the successful candidate will work closely with our Import and Export Trade Managers and the wider commercial team.
Job Description
The Sales Executive role will primarily support / assist the current Import and Export Trade Commercial team in Dublin. This is very much a hands on role dealing with Irish and overseas customers, local freight agents and overseas Head office personnel while also maintaining an operational overview and ensuring adherence to the agreed pricing and intermodal strategy set by the commercial management team in Dublin.

The key tasks for the Sales Executive are as follows:
* Promote and maintain Sea Freight pricing policy in conjunction with Senior commercial management in Ireland.
* Implement and communicate pricing directives to our customer base in Ireland under the direct supervision of our Import and Export Trade Managers.
* Assist sales activity on a number of Trades lanes, maintaining responsibility for the quoting/rating strategy, customers service and reporting to the Import and Export Trade Managers. Maintain recognizable reporting systems and follow up on procedures.
* In conjunction with the Sales Director and other Team members set realistic customer target account and review regularly customer performance per Trade.
* Identify, monitor, and promote new sales directives / target account program on specific Trades working closely with the Import and Export Trade Manager and the overseas head office commercial staff.
* Understand competition (weaknesses and strengths) and the current/potential customer base.
* Assist with the production of Trade reports, Trade statistics and the analysis of same together with the current Team on all Trade matters
* Work with the internal Sales Team and our head office to ensure sufficient time is dedicated to VIP accounts.
* Work closely with the documentation department managers and staff to ensure “end-to-end” co-operation within these departments and other support departments of the Company.
* Promotion of our e-commerce and digital enhancement and business innovation program including, our on-line quotation portal, eBL and the full adoption and implementation of CRM sales and commercial e-based tools.
* Actively promote relationships with existing customers and work collectively with the existing Sales team to attract new businesses.
* Assist in the preparation of overseas Trade meetings organized by head office and attended by Senior commercial staff – interacting with overseas agents to better understand and develop the Trading relationship.
