Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director, Digital Lab System lead, in the Digital Manufacturing Operations (DMO) team in Brinny.
This role will lead the site DMO Digital Lab team, reporting to the DMO site lead, and collaborate closely across Digital teams to ensure delivery, maintenance, change execution and optimization of our laboratory systems in pursuit of digital excellence across our manufacturing network.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
* Work closely with the sites in the region and the Quality functions, in particular the QC Leads at each site, to understand current and future end-user needs.
* Partner with Product teams to ensure technical solution development is incorporated into future architecture design.
* Drive the standards for deployment of new technology at the site, in line with the site 5-year plans/roadmaps.
* Work closely with the Digital Quality & Labs Value Team to execute a strategy to optimize laboratory digital operations, and maintain a roadmap for the site in partnership with the value team.
* Leadership activities include development, coaching and day-to-day management of a team of Digital Lab professionals, as well as IT contractors at the site.
* Coordinate IT system lifecycle to manage compliance and cyber security risks to ensure they are proactively managed.
* Ensure implementation of new systems meeting a defined set of infrastructure and architecture required to support the business.
* Represent Digital Manufacturing Organisation in site governance meetings, at global technical forums and global IT Tiers.
Skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
* Degree qualification (Science/Computer Science/Engineering/Technical).
* 10+ years’ experience in IT in the Laboratory environment.
* 5+ years of working experience in manufacturing life sciences with a focus on laboratory operations.
* Strong understanding of LIMS, Empower, Acronis and laboratory instrument connectivity.
* Effective communication skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment, and with vendors, contractors, and customers.
* Ability to lead others to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions.
* Interpret business challenges and best practices for improvements to systems and processes.
* Shopfloor Network Architecture, Server deployments, Virtualisation, Data Analytics, Digitization and Visualisation.
* Experience of Biotechnology and Vaccines manufacturing processes preferred.
* Ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization with strong decision-making capability.
