SHEQ Officer - Dublin 11
Key Responsibilities:
The SHEQ Officer will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to create a culture of SHEQ, identifying potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts in the workplace, conducting regular safety inspections, environmental assessments & audits, providing training to employees, contractors, and visitors, investigating accidents, incidents, and quality issues, monitoring workplace conditions, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations, and promoting a culture of SHEQ excellence throughout the organisation.
Duties:
* Identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts in the workplace, report on internal systems, and recommend appropriate control measures.
* Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental assessments & audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
* Provide training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and quality issues, and develop and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational health issues and promote employee wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address SHEQ concerns.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills as needed.
* Promote a culture of SHEQ excellence throughout the organisation.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SHEQ processes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental.
* Proven experience as a EHS Officer or in a similar role.
* Strong analytical skills to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train employees and collaborate across departments.
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
* A full clean driving license is required.
