About the Role
We are now looking to expand our team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Site Engineer to work on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as primary point of communication with customers on multiple projects.
* Set out and manage projects, communicating information to Tusker's drawing office.
* Ensure site teams carry out works in accordance with specifications and programmes.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Review detailed design, critique, and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
* Coordinate development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
* Plan works efficiently to achieve program targets.
* Order and control materials on site.
* Maintain site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
* Check plans, drawings, and supervise setting out coordination.
* Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and deal with any problems that arise.
* Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and keep them informed of progress.
* Oversee quality control and safety matters on site and ensure regulations are adhered to.
* Supervise direct staff and sub-contractors.
* Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant, and architect in regards to RFI's.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
* Monitor and address any quality issues or deviations from project specifications promptly.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferable).
* Proven experience at the Site Engineer Level (essential).
* Knowledge of construction procedures and methods.
* Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Procedures.
* Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Understanding of modern setting out instruments and competency to use same.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and regulations.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute complex construction projects.
* Proficiency in project management software and setting out equipment.
* Setting out experience.
* Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to build and manage diverse project teams.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
