Team/Role Overview
This role will support Business Activity Owners (BAOs), typically product managers, across clusters to complete all in-scope Third Party Management activities required under the TPM program.
Services TPM Dedicated BAO Support covers the end-to-end TPM lifecycle process, from supplier risk assessment, through on-boarding, ongoing monitoring and offboarding. The Team provides operational support, process guidance, quality assurance and quality control oversight to Services teams focused primarily on legacy Alternate control Frameworks (ACFS) that have migrated to the standard framework (FMIs/Agent Banks). Leveraging standardized processes to execute robust risk management activities throughout the third-party management life cycle.
BAO supports with work with BAOs to drive accurate and complete control closure, provide guidance and support for activities, tracking metrics and required gap remediation. They promote a globally consistent approach to TP management aligned with Third Party Management Policy. This position will be part of the TTS Global COO office under the Central Governance and Controls group.
What you’ll do
* Work with Business Activity Owners (BAOs) and Third Party Officers (TPOs) across Services focused primarily on Agent Banks and FMIs. Provide expert guidance and support on key controls, standard processes, operating procedures, and promote best practices and ensure compliance with procedures including but not limited to the following:
* Risk assessments (TP-RAPs, IRQ)
* Due diligence (Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
* Compliance, Fraud and Record Management assessments
* Performance (SLA tracking)
* Contingency assessments for critical TPs
* Monitoring third party’s performance to SLAs
* Monitoring customer complaints related to third parties
* Monitoring compliance to Citi Records Management standards
* Support reporting activities, as required
* Perform pre-contract due diligence and post-contract ongoing monitoring activities based on specific third-party risk profile, country, and/or business requirements in compliance with TPM requirements and any other business required processes, e.g. DDQ
* Coordinate with other businesses to complete DDQs on shared agent bank relationships
* Monitor reports to ensure third-party management policy required pre-contract due diligence and post-contract ongoing monitoring is carried out by responsible and/or accountable parties
* Monitor progress on agreed upon third-party remediation activities and proactively escalate issues, as necessary
* Facilitate and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in areas such as Data Privacy, Export Licensing, and Continuity of Business (COB) to complete required due diligence or ongoing monitoring activities
* Respond to TPM related queries/concerns via Phone/e-mail/chats received from different stakeholders
* Engage with Third Party Officers (TPOs) as well as Enterprise TPM or SME teams as needed
* Proactively engage with Payments and Investor and Issuer Services teams and share results to BAOs/TPOs supported. Build strong internal relationships and help strengthen controls and awareness across Services
* Promote integrated, robust, globally consistent approach to TPM aligned with Third Party Management Policy.
* Have a clear understanding of all Citi policies and procedures that directly impact TPM and Business Stakeholders to drive the adoption and adherence to processes and procedures
What we’ll need from you
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
* Related experience in vendor management, third party risk, or risk and control functions
* Strong knowledge of third party management requirements
* Program/ Project Management experience a plus
* Ability to work effectively and drive results with a virtual global team
* Strong experience in analytics and problem solving
* Proficient in MS Suite of application, specifically proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
* Global mindset and proven record of leadership experience in third party management
* Client focused and able to work across clusters to meet stakeholder needs
* Proficient with business control and compliance frameworks for financial institutions
* Detail oriented and able to effectively manage and track large portfolio of activities
* Excellent influential skills
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all aspects of the job and with multiple audiences in mind
* Strong management and leadership skills
* Excellent oral and written presentation skills
