Job Title: Customs Admin Department: Customs Reports To: Customs Manager Location: Ballymena Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 0930-1800 Salary: £26,000 initially (rising to £28,000 upon completion of probation) Key Responsibilities (not limited to): Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including customers, customs brokers, other departments within the company and customs authorities to resolve any queries/issues.
Including reviewing paperwork to ensure all essential information is present and provide updates as necessary.
Data entry into bespoke Customs and transport systems.
Raise PBNs and GMRs using MRNs provided by the Mc Burney customs team and external agents.
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls to customers, external agents, drivers, etc.
Raise declarations on the TSS system and raise GB and ROI S&S declarations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Raise CHEDs under the NIRMS scheme on TRACES NT.
Provide customers with copies of completed customs declarations upon request.
Book shipping on behalf of customers and provide shipping details as necessary to internal and external stakeholders.
Generate and send regular customer service reports on agreed upon schedule on weekends.
General administrative tasks.
Essential Criteria: At least 1 year of experience in a busy customer service role.
5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
Complete and pass a short accuracy test.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
