Buyer Planner required with at least two years' experience in supply chain/production planning for a Sligo-based multinational.
Reporting to the Planning and Purchasing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement MPS & MRP strategies for raw material, intermediate, and finished goods.
* Manage the Purchasing function to ensure timely material supply in line with plant schedules.
* Coordinate purchasing processes and collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
* Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Item Master data.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for distribution centre operations.
* Conduct scenario planning to mitigate potential disruptions.
* Oversee materials aspects for NPI projects.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain members to achieve target performance on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Ensure effective Inventory Management and Control practices.
* Liaise with transportation companies to schedule deliveries within warehouse capacities.
* Implement projects aligned with specific goals and objectives.
* Coordinate purchased materials to support production while meeting product cost targets within the organisation's Code of Business and applicable laws.
* Purchase non-inventory items necessary for plant operations at lowest total cost of ownership levels.
* E nsure Environmental Health & Safety standards are met and all EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements:
* A degree in a related discipline or relevant certification such as IPICS / IIPMM is required.
* Appropriate qualification in either Purchasing/Production Planning, Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS examinations.
* At least two years' experience in supply chain/production planning.
* A high level of expertise is required in solving scheduling, logistics, expediting, and purchasing problems.
