Management Accountant - County Cavan
The Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller and Director of Finance, enabling reliable planning, decision-making, and controlling. This position enhances the organization's financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* 1. Costing: Conduct thorough cost and material cost analysis, identifying key drivers, allocation methods, and control techniques to optimize financial effectiveness. Manage, monitor, and report on costs effectively.
* 2. Accounting: Accurately record financial transactions and ensure meticulous guardianship of the same for informed decision-making, business performance, financial position, and cash flows.
* 3. Projects: Participate in business transformational and control projects that significantly impact profitability and decision-making.
* 4. Management Accounts: Prepare comprehensive management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide an exhaustive overview of the company's financial performance.
* 5. Reconciliation: Verify and match transactions internally against external statements and documents to ensure accuracy and confidence in financial reporting.
* 6. Audit: Conduct and participate in third-party audits for assurance of highly accurate data and compliance with rules and regulations, providing assurance to all stakeholders.
* 7. Forecasting: Utilize quantitative and qualitative insights to forecast company performance and assist in developing, implementing, and scrutinizing business strategies and financial decision-making.
Requirements:
* - Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant.
* - At least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
* - Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
* - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
* - Proficiency in Excel.
