Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing
Nursing Home: North Cork nursing home

The successful candidate will play a central role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, leading the nursing team in delivering person-centred care.
Responsibilities include planning and allocating nursing teams, ensuring appropriate staff members, skill mix, and levels of experience to meet clinical demands and continuity of care.
The role involves a 4-day week, working 8am to 6pm daily, with an attractive remuneration package reflective of the successful candidate's previous experience.
Requirements:
1. A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
2. A minimum of three years post-registration nursing experience in the past 6 years in Care of the Elderly.
3. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area.
4. A management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable but not essential.
5. Evidence of continuous professional development.
6. The ability to manage one's own workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
7. An ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Director of Nursing.
8. A proven track record in team management and performance management.
