Job Title: Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Planner to join our client, a manufacturing company based in Shannon, Co. Clare, on a six-month fixed-term contract basis.

The Role
">
The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and possess strong project and time management skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and drive change.
">
Key Responsibilities:
">
">
1. Create, process, scan, and archive purchase orders efficiently
">
2. Collaborate with the supply chain team to support production and external customer needs
">
3. Work with all departments to ensure compliance with company projects assigned
">
4. Support the Lead Planner/Buyer in scheduling-related activities in the manufacturing area
">
5. Provide daily feedback to customer service regarding customer expedite requests and supply order status updates
">
6. Advise on deliveries and plan job scheduling for the shop floor
">
7. Maintain vendor and customer contacts via phone and email
">
8. Liaise with production to obtain answers to expedited items
">
9. Ensure delivery of KPIs and weekly reports for management
">
10. Enter data into the ERP system and run work benches
">
11. Liaise with Production/Engineering to send purchase orders to vendors
">

Skills & Experience Required:
">
">
12. Degree in a business-related discipline
">
13. Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage
">
14. Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage
">
15. Proven capability to establish and achieve continuous improvement goals
">
16. Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
">
17. Excellent organizational skills
">
18. Proactive, self-starter who can work independently without supervision
">
19. Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks
">
20. Positive attitude and motivation for the role

21. Operate to the highest ethical standards with a strong work ethic

The Offer:

This is a six-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
">
The role is based fully onsite in Shannon, Co. Clare, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
