Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at Brook Lodge & Macreddin Village.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods in line with the establishment's standards.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and special event offerings.
* Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all pastry items.
* Manage daily pastry production, adhering to recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is used safely and efficiently.
* Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
* Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
* Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new techniques and ideas into the pastry program.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or bakery setting.
* Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking fundamentals.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Creativity and a passion for pastry innovation.
* Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
