The Role of Production Scheduler
This role involves leading the creation and management of the master production schedule to ensure seamless operations while overseeing material requirements planning to guarantee timely availability of resources.
* Develop and maintain efficient production schedules to meet customer demands and exceed expectations.
* Manage purchase orders to ensure materials are procured within budget and on time.
* Control inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce waste.
* Coordinate work orders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
* ERP Management: Input affiliate requirements, create level schedules, and maintain ERP data.
* Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet 100% order fulfillment.
* Inventory Control: Monitor and control inventories of Finished Goods, W.I.P, and Raw Materials to achieve plant inventory goals.
* Reporting: Issue production monitoring reports and prepare documentation for obsolete or rejected materials.
* Liaison: Coordinate with other sites (Lake County, Wiesbaden, Dartford, etc.).
* Compliance: Maintain high standards in housekeeping, GMP, and Safety.
* Communication: Effectively communicate schedule changes and generate necessary documentation.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects for process simplification, system enhancements, and automation.
* Training: Provide scheduler-specific training for the planning group.
* Financial Support: Assist in financial planning exercises and maintain weekly scope and forecasting files.
* Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed and improved.
* CUSTOMER AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT: Initiate customer forms and update ERP and Shared Parts Database.
* Review and Action: Act on reports and complete MOFR files weekly.
Requirements
You will have a relevant third level qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience working in a Supply Chain role which includes 2 years experience production planning in a manufacturing company.
Previous experience with planning short shelf-life products would be an advantage.
