Civil Engineer (Grid Connections)
Location: Cork, Limerick, Tralee
Experience: 2 years in Grid Connections
Currently, we have a position for an Engineer within our Civils team. The role involves the design of both MV and HV grid connections for both renewables and large demand customers in Ireland and in Mainland Europe. Projects will vary from feasibility to construction stage.
The ideal candidate would have experience in the design or construction of grid connections for Wind/Solar projects or other linear construction projects such as Water/Wastewater/Gas/Telecoms Infrastructure. Experience interacting with ESB, EirGrid, TII, and Local Authorities would also be advantageous.
Training will be given for those without experience above.
Skills / Qualifications Required:
1. Candidates with experience from 2 years and upwards will be considered.
2. Enthusiastic team player, with a constructive and proactive approach to work.
3. Excellent communication, planning, and organisation skills.
4. Strong problem-solving capabilities with a willingness to accept responsibility and meet strict deadlines.
5. Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
6. Strong technical report writing skills.
7. Ability to process large datasets using coding such as Matlab or similar would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Undertake design elements for projects to current specifications and standards.
2. Manage the production of drawings and reports.
3. Co-ordinate work with engineers of other disciplines.
4. Attend meetings with clients, other consultants, and contractors during the course of projects.
5. Ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines.
