Job Description
NielsenIQ Ireland is looking for a results-driven and self-motivated individual to join our expanding team as a New Business Development Executive within the NIQ Ireland SMB (Small & Medium Business) team.
In this sales hunter role, the NBD Executive plays a pivotal role and will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and securing new clients across manufacturers in FMCG. You will leverage NielsenIQ's market measurement data analytics and innovative market research solutions to demonstrate how we can help businesses grow, optimize their strategies, and outpace their competitors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in new business acquisition and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within designated sectors. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of whitespace by qualifying leads through cold calling/emailing, networking, and strategic outreach.
2. Sales Strategy Development: Develop tailored sales strategies and campaigns to increase visibility on NIQ Ireland SMB services based on the client's industry, needs, and challenges. Leverage NielsenIQ's suite of products and services to create compelling solutions.
3. Presentations & Demos: Conduct high-impact presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative meetings to showcase the value of NielsenIQ’s solutions.
4. Negotiation & Closing: Effectively negotiate terms and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to contract signing.
5. Reporting & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions in CRM. Provide regular updates on progress, forecasts, and key metrics on achieving revenue and profit targets.
6. Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at potential client organizations, building trust and rapport to drive sales success. Manage and build a portfolio of clients where you are renewing and upselling products and solutions.
7. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Customer Success, and Product Management to ensure client needs are met and deliverables are achieved.
8. Market Intelligence: Stay informed of market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to provide relevant insights to clients and position NielsenIQ as a market leader.
9. Internal Engagement & Training: Partake in sales training, knowledge sharing, and whitespace analysis in order to sustain a culture of collaborative communication on sales best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Experience & Education: 3+ years of successful experience or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or related field. Experience must be in B2B/direct sales, new business development, or sales hunting, preferably in data analytics, market research, FMCG or SaaS environments with SMB businesses.
2. Interpersonal & Problem-Solving Skills: High energy self-starter with good personal management and organization skills. Active listening and problem-solving skills to identify client needs and challenges.
3. Sales Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in prospecting, lead qualification, and generating new business through relationship building, networking, or cold calling while meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
4. Technology Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, Salesloft, HubSpot, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel, and an understanding of data analytics tools.
5. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of market research, analytics, or consumer insights in FMCG sector or equivalent.
6. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
