Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Specialist, Process Engineer.
The Specialist will primarily support the Large Molecule (Biologics/Vaccines/Sterile) Line of Business, and will also have opportunities to be exposed to multiple business areas. Initial assignments will be based on a manufacturing site to support an End to End Vaccines Drug Substance and Drug Product Project(s) Execution.
Percent of travel: >30% for projects assignments outside of primary location to Co Louth and other Ireland locations. Travel and flexibility in project assignment location is required; assignments may require short term travel assignments.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
* Collaborates with a team in the evaluation of alternative solutions and the development of assigned system scope.
* Support project deliverables ranging from process design, equipment specification & vendor management to commissioning & qualification, process implementation & realization of the solution.
* Develops assigned system preliminary designs, including process fits and HAZOP participation.
* Learns standards & practices and understands application on project to ensure solutions are technically sound.
* Supports field implementation of solutions, including C&Q, to realize designed assets.
* Liaises with other technical functions to ensure successful technology implementation.
* Collaborates with contractors, suppliers and other team members in the execution of the work.
* Be responsible for implementation of capital project scope and technical studies that support business objectives.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
* Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering.
* Minimum 3 years experience in engineering, technology and/or manufacturing, preferably within Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry.
* Familiarity with engineering design principles/lifecycle with preference for exposure to hygienic design and/or sterile drug product and associated unit operations.
* Creative, innovative, thinks outside of the box, self-motivated, and able to apply analytical problem-solving skills.
* Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable working in a cross functional environment, demonstrated teamwork skills, and ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders.
* Project/Time Management skills which deliver on-time and quality work.
