Communications and Events Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the Job:
Reporting to the Head of Public Engagement, you will be responsible for:
* the implementation of internal, external and partner communications alongside marketing activities for FoodCloud;
* managing or supporting key FoodCloud events.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications and reputation management:
* Contribute to the implementation of an integrated communications plan that enables our small but dedicated team to maintain a consistent, positive media presence.
* Monitor FoodCloud related press stories and scan the horizon for potential challenges for our brand.
* Ensure consistency of brand tone is carried throughout all creative elements in our messaging and that of our partners.
* Lead on ensuring the smooth participation of FoodCloud in media opportunities that help us achieve our objectives.
* Work with FoodCloud’s HR team on internal communications.
* Work with Head of Public Engagement to report to senior management and to the Board on the performance of the communications team.
* Oversee the implementation of our digital marketing strategy (which includes web, email, social media content planning and creation).
* Contribute to the creation of internal and external content such as articles for Linkedin and our website.
* Measure, report and make recommendations on the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
Account management:
* Support FoodCloud’s food and fundraising teams in the management of partner communications and activations.
Event planning and management:
* Lead on the implementation of a major European event being hosted by FoodCloud in Dublin this June, supporting the launch of the advocacy campaign accompanying that event.
* Support or lead on other FoodCloud events with the advocacy, food and fundraising teams, as well as on attendance at trade shows and conferences.
* Support HR with employee engagement events.
Additional duties as required per business needs.
Key Skills:
The successful candidate will:
* be a self-starter, who is driven, flexible, creative, and detail-oriented;
* have 3+ years’ experience working in communications, including digital marketing campaign implementation;
* have 2+ years’ experience in event/project management;
* have strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills, including the ability to present concepts verbally;
* have demonstrable experience leading and managing online marketing including email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns;
* have the ability to work calmly under pressure and within a small dynamic team;
* Experience working with the food industry or government bodies is an advantage.
* The role will be based in our Tallaght Head Office but will be flexible and hybrid.
