As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the effective provision of second line Consumer Protection and Conduct risk business support across the various banking channels.
This will include providing advice and support on Consumer Protection regulations and Conduct related matters to management and colleagues working in these will also work with senior management in Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk to ensure the effective operation of the Banks compliance and conduct risk frameworks including the effective independent oversight of the consumer protection and conduct risks; supporting the Banks Executive Committee in managing the relationship with the Central Bank of Ireland and helping to promote the conduct risk agenda within the Bank.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage effective relationships with Bank management and staff through effective and efficient communication.
Provide consumer protection and conduct risk advice, guidance, support through challenge and sign off as required.
Participate as required, in monthly compliance forum meetings with senior management.
Decision making with respect to compliance risks within new product or service initiatives being presented for review.
Complete Regulatory and Conduct Risk Assessments on new product/ service initiatives.
Direct and manage the compliance oversight role in product literature/marketing material.
Participate in Bank projects and remediation exercises to ensure regulatory requirements and conduct risks are considered.
Requirements: At least 3 years experience in a Consumer Protection & Conduct role with experience of providing consumer protection and conduct risk advice, guidance, and challenge.
A good understanding of Financial Services regulations, and how to apply it in a business environment, readily commanding confidence as an expert in your professional field.
A good understanding of regulatory risks across the banking industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good influencing & communications skills and have the confidence to deal with management and external stakeholders at all levels.
Strong working knowledge on MS Office ,Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract position based in St. Stephens Green, Dublin.
