Programme Assistant Role at Camphill Community
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Programme Assistants.
About the Role
The Programme Assistant will support the development and fostering of a person-centered culture within the residential community and day service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Understand and uphold the values and ethos of Camphill Communities of Ireland.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members, while respecting their right to independent decision making.
* Contribute to policy development and strategic vision for the community.
* Build relationships of trust and confidence with adults with support needs, co-workers, employees, and volunteers.
Main Tasks:
* Assist in planning activities for people with support needs, providing guidance and motivating them as they work.
* Create a good working environment and group dynamic that enables each worker to benefit from their time in the programme.
* Support people with support needs in their work, overseeing and supervising tasks when necessary.
Requirements
Candidates must have:
* QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community/Healthcare on the QQI Framework (with 8 completed modules).
* At least 1 year's experience in working with adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
* Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
