Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in County Kildare.
Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to assist the Quality Operations Manager in the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System, ensuring that all quality policies and procedures are adhered to daily.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor production and releases of finished parts, ensuring adherence to quality policies and procedures as per our Quality Management System.
* Interface with customers to achieve customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
* Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards throughout the production process.
* Investigate root causes of customer and internal quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Initiate and complete Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) actions as required.
* Manage Engineering Change Requests and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to ensure timely resolution.
* Establish and monitor inspection standards, plans, frequencies, and test methods.
* Develop and maintain Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) documents.
* Create and update quality system documentation, including procedures and records.
* Support customer audits and surveillance accreditation activities.
* Participate in quality planning and new product introduction from a quality perspective.
* Build strong relationships with customer organizations and other project stakeholders.
* Familiarity with validation processes is an advantage, although not essential.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our quality management system.
* Support operational projects and initiatives within the area.
* Train new or existing personnel on quality procedures and documentation, ensuring production staff are adequately trained for their tasks.
* Understand customer documents, such as drawings, purchase specifications, and quality agreements.
* Ensure timely disposition of on-hold material and proper storage of retained samples.
* Maintain accurate and compliant quality records, adhering to GDP guidelines.
* Support the Supplier Controlled Acceptance Review (SCAR) process when required.
* Audit experience is advantageous, although not essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a relevant third-level qualification or equivalent quality experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
