Mechanical Package Manager (Contract) Power Generation

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to oversee the mechanical aspects of a power generation project in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical work packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the mechanical work packages from design through to installation and commissioning.
* Oversee contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
* Ensure mechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
* Provide technical leadership in mechanical engineering aspects of the project.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
* Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and documentation.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to mechanical systems and installations.
* Support the commissioning process and assist in resolving technical issues as they arise.
* Ensure quality control and adherence to project deadlines.
Requirements:
* Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Extensive experience in mechanical engineering within power generation, power plants, or large-scale energy projects.
* Proven experience in managing mechanical packages on complex projects.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including turbines, generators, piping, and cooling systems.
* Excellent project management and coordination skills.
* Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
