About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team in a family home setting in Drogheda. Our client delivers high-quality homecare services to individuals, and we need someone who shares their commitment to exceptional care.
As a key member of the care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social care that meets regulatory requirements and our client's policies and procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with personal care, toileting, meal preparation, supervising medication, light housework, and basic shopping needs
* Providing emotional and social support to clients
* Monitoring and documenting client progress
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
* Creating a safe and nurturing care environment for clients
* Offering assistance, guidance, and community resource mobilisation to carers
* Reporting and recording any incidents
* Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
* Working around the 24-hour needs of the house (ability to work days and nights if required)
Requirements:
* Degree level 7/8 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or a related discipline
* Eligible for registration with CORU an advantage
* Full clean driving licence essential
* Knowledge of New Directions Services and Supports for adults with disabilities would be advantageous
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Fluent level of English both written and oral is essential
* Must be flexible – willing and able to adapt to changing circumstances, shift patterns, and expectation
* Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
