ABOUT THE ROLE
As a furniture Business Development Executive, you will lead the growth and expansion of the Furniture & Interiors category in the Irish corporate market. This role combines strategic business development, market intelligence, and client engagement to drive category sales and establish Codex as a leader in the commercial furniture sector.
Acting as the first point of contact for all your designated category opportunities, you will leverage your product and industry knowledge to develop and deliver tailored solutions that effectively meet the needs and expectations of our customers and contribute to the success and growth of our sales team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial office furniture market.
2. Develop and execute strategies to secure new business contracts, focusing on long-term partnerships.
3. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, ensuring consistent growth and conversion to sales.
4. Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts by introducing new products, services, or solutions.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for high-value projects and clients within the furniture category, ensuring client satisfaction and resolving challenges promptly.
6. Oversee key client projects, ensuring seamless execution from initial engagement to final signoff.
7. Partner with the sales team to support lead generation, client proposals, and closing deals.
8. Work with the Category Manager on tender submissions, sourcing, and identifying key products to win new business.
9. Assist with creating impactful client proposals, including visual layouts and detailed product presentations.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
To be a great fit for this role you will have:
1. Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across diverse sectors.
2. Skilled in building and maintaining strong client relationships, leading to long-term partnerships and repeat business.
3. Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving category growth.
4. An understanding of the commercial furniture market in Ireland, including customer needs, industry trends, and competitor positioning.
5. Extensive experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
6. At least 2-3 years+ in a similar role that demonstrates excellent understanding of the furniture industry in the Irish market.
