What you will do:
1. Improving data quality and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Managing event-driven and self-service data architecture.
Job Responsibilities:
3. Ensuring data-related projects align with data architecture and business objectives, adhering to standards and policies.
4. Setting principles for naming, governing, managing, modelling, transforming, storing, searching, and delivering data.
5. Establishing end-to-end data architectural accountability and refining enterprise architecture for the data governance framework.
6. Proposing and governing proof of concepts for modern technologies to enhance data architecture capabilities.
7. Collaborating with business units to establish and validate data design requirements.
8. Defining and validating performance and scalability objectives through testing.
9. Consulting on data architecture matters to ensure accurate and secure data usage, suggesting updates based on evolving needs.
10. Managing metadata repositories for the data warehouse, including data models, dictionaries, lineage, and quality controls.
11. Evaluating data architecture artifacts to keep them current, accurate, relevant, and accessible.
12. Performing code reviews, advising data team members and application developers on data development practices.
Skills required:
13. Five to seven years of experience in data architecture, technology infrastructure, event-driven and self-service architectures, and data quality operations.
14. Strong understanding of data warehouse, data governance, MDM (Master Data Management), and metadata architectures.
15. Expert knowledge of cloud-based databases like BigQuery, traditional relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL*Server), and familiarity with emerging technologies such as GCP.
16. Familiarity with technologiessuch as GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, Pulsar, or Rabbit MQ.
Education:
17. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
