Management Accountant - County Cavan
As a Management Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and Director of Finance in providing reliable planning, decision-making, and controlling. The role will significantly enhance the financial acumen of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform cost and material cost analysis to optimize financial effectiveness, including understanding cost drivers, allocation methods, and control techniques. Manage, monitor, and report on costs.
* Accurately record financial transactions and ensure guardianship for understanding and driving business performance, financial position, and cash flows.
* Participate in business transformational and control projects that impact profitability and decision-making.
* Create comprehensive management accounts, typically including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide a detailed overview of the company's financial performance.
* Match transactions internally against external statements and documents to ensure accuracy and confidence in financial reporting.
* Perform and participate in third-party audits for assurance of highly accurate data and compliance with rules and regulations, providing assurance to all stakeholders.
* Use quantitative and qualitative insights to forecast company performance and help develop, implement, and scrutinize business strategies and financial decision-making.
Requirements:
* Hold a recognized accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant.
* Have at least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
* Maintenance experience is an advantage.
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Excel is required.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
