Role Summary
We are looking to expand our current lecturing team here at IBAT College, Dublin. This role is a key function for the College, through which you will become a key member of our academic teaching team to inspire and educate the next generation of students. To succeed you will have expertise in your subject, a strong commitment to academic excellence and the ability to contribute to curriculum development and student mentorship.
Our lecturers are required to be available to teach in-person at our Campus in the heart of Dublin City Centre (Temple Bar). We are primarily looking for lecturers to teach in the following areas:
* Marketing
* IT
* Finance
* Business
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Deliver lectures and tutorials aligned with module learning outcomes
* Prepare learning materials for class use, aligned with course learning outcomes
* Prepare, grade and provide feedback to learners on assessment work
* Ensure assessments are complete and scores are available for Internal Examination Meetings and Examination Boards
* Provide appropriate academic guidance to students
* Attend and contribute to Examination & Programme Boards, school meetings and other internal meetings as needed
* Work closely with relevant colleagues within the school including the Academic Dean and Programme Leader on aspects of the programme including ongoing review and development
* Liaise with other departments e.g. Registrar’s Office, Admissions, Library, etc. as required
* Provide supplemental lecturing as/when possible
* Contribute to various College committees
* Supervise projects and dissertations when appropriate
* Perform other duties as required by the Programme Leader, Dean or Managing Director
Qualifications / Experience / Key Attributes
* Hold a level 10 qualification (to teach on our Master level courses)
* Hold a level 9 qualification (to teach on undergraduate courses)
* Hold a level 8 qualification (to teach on our level 6 program)
* Business or industry experience in relevant field
* Previous lecturing experience (desirable but not essential)
* Research experience (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace apps
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €70.00-€100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 40 per week
