The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for managing technology programs for Coinbase’s EMEA entities. In this role, the individual will work with the firm’s technology providers (primarily CB Inc.) to ensure that the technology needs of EMEA entities are met, while also setting service standards and policies required for successful implementation. In addition, the CIO will work with local regulatory bodies to ensure that the EMEA companies comply with relevant regulations.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detailed oriented leader with a technical education who will leverage their experience to successfully manage the EMEA Coinbase companies technology needs.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
7. Design and execute IT strategy for CB EMEA entities
8. Create and deploy technology policies, standards and procedures compliant with EMEA regulatory mandates
9. Define the strategic direction and execution of the Coinbase Technology Governance Program
10. Lead large scale programs that are at the intersection of compliance, regulatory and audit that are highly technical, and cross functional in nature
11. Set goals, align cross-functional teams, and execute
12. Be accountable for roadmap delivery including adoption and success criteria as defined in collaboration with your stakeholders
13. Monitor program status, identify issues / risks, succinctly communicate issues, and proactively collaborate to ensure timely resolution
14. Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs for IT services provided from Coinbase US to Coinbase EMEA entities
15. Partner with the Operational Resilience team, ensure appropriate testing of technology systems supporting critical and important business activities
16. Monitor remediation plans when KPIs are in breach
17. Team up with external and internal stakeholders (engineering, security, compliance, legal, etc.) to gather business requirements, and define objectives
18. Prepare regulatory filings required by Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
19. 10+ years of technical program management experience at a technology company and/or in a fintech company.
20. 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management or financial services
21. Experience working with compliance regulations such as DORA, BAIT, EBA ICT & SRM or similar regulations
22. Enjoy solving hard problems and can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans
23. Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior management in order to drive alignment
24. Ability to leverage data to inform critical decisions and make recommendations
25. Prior experience working with auditors
26. Prior experience working on global programs
27. Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
28. Experience interacting with regulators
Nice to haves:
29. Global technology regulations and standards such as NIST, Cobit, ITIL, ISO27001, PCI, MiCA, DORA
30. Prior crypto experience and a demonstrated interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
31. Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, Google apps, JIRA, Confluence
32. CRISC, CISM, CISA
