You will work independently taking full responsibility for a certain area within Project Management. You will co-ordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately. Compile project status reports, co-ordinate project schedules, manage project meetings, and identify and resolve problems.
This role is Hybrid.
Responsibilities
1. Work on projects of moderate scope and some complex assignments.
2. Apply standards and methodologies, provide expertise and support on use of methods and tools.
3. Ensure that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
4. Identify and assess risks to the success of the project.
5. Agree the project approach with stakeholders, and prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans).
6. Track activities against the project schedule, manage stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
7. Build reporting/status updates, agenda stakeholder and owner meetings.
8. Assist in the evaluation of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identifying potential benefits and available options for consideration.
9. Maintain project documents, plans and other information in the project repository ensuring easy access and usability by the project team, follows up on tasks where appropriate.
10. Create PowerPoint and Visio documentation for the project team to facilitate understanding of complex project issues as well as to document process flows.
11. Co-ordinate project resource changes, including space, equipment, and update of project documentation (team lists, organisation charts, etc.).
12. Schedule project meetings, co-ordinating attendance and documents meeting notes and activities.
13. Work on projects using available frameworks and tools and establish plans for projects with on-time and on-budget project goals.
14. Support seniors in providing project oversight, tracking risks, assumptions, issues and judgements.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Additional course or certification in Project Management.
3. Certified functional consultant in any one specific domain.
4. Excellent client-facing skills.
5. People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions.
6. Teamwork and emotional intelligence.
7. Good self-management – continuous performance is both a goal and a mind-set.
8. Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance.
9. Good problem-solving skills, has experience in proposing different options and solutions for approaching and resolving issues.

Experience
1. Experience and knowledge in project management methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
2. Has good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge and has practical experience of tools and frameworks required to deliver.
3. Basic experience in scheduling and database, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio or equivalent.
4. Knowledge of open source project management tools.
5. Good understanding of the project management lifecycle.
6. Experience with version control concepts.
7. Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
8. A proven record in analysing data and effectively presenting to clients to support proposed solutions, able to question client hypotheses and solutions with robust data.
