Post Summary
Reporting to the Director of Research, this newly established role will lead on a core area of the University’s research operations. The Post-Award Manager will establish the University’s central post-award team and will lead the development and implementation of key improvements in overall post-award service delivery.
The team will be responsible for increasing institutional support for Principal Investigators of high-profile projects (which are typically complex and/or high value and/or multi partner), particularly during phases in which a specialist project management resource is not in place. The team will also be responsible for the provision of ‘help-desk’ post-award support to a more comprehensive suite of awardees.
The postholder will lead a team of three, setting direction in areas of responsibility and then managing priorities and delivery of workstreams and activities. The post requires close working with a range of colleagues - both academic and professional - across the University to establish a central post-award function. This will include setting team objectives, establishing SOPs and workflows, and initiating process and policy enhancements to deliver significant value to the University’s research community.

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-3), Salary Scale (€68,181 - €88,201 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
