Financial Accountant - South East
The Company:
Our client is a successful firm based in the south east of Ireland. They have experienced significant growth over the years and now require a Qualified Financial Accountant to join their Head Office team. This is a varied role, offering the chance to work closely with senior management and develop an in-depth understanding of the business and its operations. Over time, there will be scope to become an active participant in the running of the business and support strategic decisions from a finance perspective.
The Position:
1. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic management accounts.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements at year-end, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
3. Monitor and manage stock levels, working closely with operations to ensure accurate stock valuations and controls.
4. Oversee the full AP function, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier management.
5. Manage weekly payroll ensuring compliance and accuracy.
6. Oversee the AR process, including invoicing, credit control, and customer account reconciliations.
7. Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.
8. Opportunity to contribute to financial projects, such as CapEx initiatives and other strategic projects as the company grows.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in hands-on accounts preparation and management accounts.
