Are you a highly skilled and motivated professional with expertise in project management? Do you have a proven track record of success in providing expert support to PMOs and project managers? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist on a 6-month contract basis, with the possibility of an extension.
Location: Dublin City Centre
Contract Type: 6-month Contract (with potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid position requiring 3 days on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., IT, Business Studies, etc.)
* Certification in Prince2/PMI/Project management diploma.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with a demonstrated track record of success.
* Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle and best practices.
* Good knowledge and experience of industry-standard best practices in Portfolio and Programme Management.
* Exposure to the application and support of Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tools.
Key Responsibilities:
As a PMO Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our PMO, program, and project managers to ensure the successful implementation of project management methods and best practices. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing specialist expertise to PMO/programme/project managers.
* Proactively supporting PMO/Programme & Project managers in applying programme and project management methods and implementing best practice processes.
* Applying practical management controls to enhance project and organizational performance.
* Developing and maintaining a Project Management toolkit.
* Ensuring quality assurance throughout projects.
* Supporting stage gate support and sign-off processes.
* Effectively managing capability and capacity (flex up/down)
* Fostering Communities of Practice.
* Providing induction support.
* Supporting integrated planning efforts.
* Promoting and delivering corporate governance expectations.
* Sharing information, good practices, and expertise with others.
* Providing project audit, assurance, health check, and rescue services.
* Ensuring quality management, financial governance, and stage gate governance.
* Delivering services to a very high standard.
