Position Summary
The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization is going through an important evolution to enable more reliable and consistent delivery of medicines to patients faster. This evolution includes elements that will help elevate its current operations to be best in class and differentiate them as a competitive advantage for the future. As part of the evolution, the Strategy & Business Excellence (SBE) organization is responsible for accelerating GPS with building out GPS Strategy and developing systems of excellence across disciplines related to digital, strategy, operational excellence, business development, risk management, and program management.
Reporting to the GPS Strategy lead, this position will be responsible for working with teams within SBE and across GPS to shape, develop, and accelerate development of strategy and the ultimate execution of strategic priorities that will advance and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Independently brainstorm and analyze solutions to problems and develop initial hypotheses, frameworks, and methodologies.
2. Direct small projects and cross-functional teams of colleagues with varying levels of experience, coaching and developing them to build capability and performance and deliver on measurable business value outcomes.
3. Using information from Business Intelligence, provide perspective on the potential impact of external market signals that could impact business growth and performance.
4. Partner with internal stakeholders to drive analysis of complex sets of data and business processes.
5. Develop project communications to drive engagement of key stakeholders and adoption of recommendations and solutions.
6. Create an engaging and inclusive work environment where team members are encouraged to collaborate and develop.
Qualifications & Experience
7. Minimum of 6 years of industry-related experience in pharma or life sciences, including experience in strategy development and/or leading strategic initiatives.
8. Significant experience at Strategy consulting firm strongly preferred.
9. Demonstrated exceptional ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority.
10. Expert at driving change in the organization to support adoption.
11. Enthusiasm and energy to help transform organizations, with tenacity/ perseverance for leading change.
12. Effectively translates market dynamics and trends in Global biopharmaceuticals into strategic implications for business units.
13. Demonstrated masterful project leadership, managing teams of cross-functional colleagues, and strong track record of value delivery.
14. Effectively leverages complex information and distills into a framework that helps facilitate decision making.
15. Expert communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
