Job Description
CubeMatch is seeking a Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract to support process improvement and product development in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in business banking, banking products, or financial services, and possess a strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This role involves working with both business and technical teams to create business requirements, process maps, and ensure alignment between stakeholders for the successful delivery of strategic objectives, including digital transformation and regulatory change.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with business stakeholders to identify potential changes and capture business requirements.
* Analyze, define, validate, and document functional and non-functional requirements from multiple partners to aid IT and third-party partners in developing technical solutions.
* Produce As Is and To Be process maps in collaboration with business and IT teams, ensuring they accurately represent current and future processes.
* Facilitate requirement walkthrough sessions to ensure alignment across all stakeholders and confirm the understanding of business requirements.
* Obtain sign-off on requirements from relevant partners and communicate them to IT for implementation.
* Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for Waterfall delivery or Business User Stories for Agile delivery, based on the project’s delivery model.
* Ensure that all business requirements are addressed in Functional Specifications for Waterfall delivery.
* Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team in the development of the UAT Approach Document and ensure the testing phase aligns with business requirements.
Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes
* Strong facilitation skills for conducting workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting business requirements and processes.
* Ability to engage with key partners and build relationships with internal teams and 3rd-party vendors.
* Willingness to challenge internal and external processes, obstacles, and decisions to drive improvements.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate requirements and technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Process Mapping Tools.
* Broad knowledge of the Banking/Financial Services industry, particularly in Retail Banking practices and processes.
* Understanding of Lean principles for process optimization.
* Experience in data analysis and the ability to draw insights to inform decision-making.
* Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project delivery.
