Position Summary:
The Digital Support Specialist for IOB’s online learning ecosystem will play a key role in managing and supporting the organisation’s suite of digital platforms, integrations and online content including the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), Website, CPD Portal, Marketing Cloud, and, most critically, the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).
The role supports IOB staff and members by designing accessible and appealing online content and supporting the delivery of materials for an exceptional digital learning experience. The role involves troubleshooting, platform administration, user support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance and evolve the organisation's online learning ecosystem, in alignment with the Digital Learning Strategy and organisational strategic objectives. They will work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery and support of best-in-class output.
Principal Duties:
* Learning Management System (LMS) administration
* Provide responsive, efficient support to staff and IOB members across online platforms, particularly Moodle LMS
* Document solutions to recurring problems and create resources for users
* Assist staff in optimising platform use for educational and professional development content delivery
* Gather feedback from users to inform platform improvements and ensure accessibility and inclusivity
* Collaborate with designers, developers, and other teams to ensure smooth content deployment
* Support the integration of digital tools and systems to create a cohesive and scalable ecosystem
* Monitor and report on platform usage, performance metrics, and user engagement
* Ensure compliance with data protection and accessibility standards
* Create and manage multimedia content for online platforms, including videos, images, and written content
* Optimise content for different platforms and formats and best possible user experience
* Assist with data management and file organisation
* Coordinate staff training, host workshops, and deliver presentations
* Plan and conduct user research, and competitor and data analysis to develop action plans and guide initiatives to conclusion.
* Other initiatives and projects as required.
Technical Skills Requirements:
* Highly proficient in IT skills (cloud computing, scripting and programming, web development, application support, system admin, platform integration, troubleshooting, data analysis) to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint and PowerBI.
* Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate)
* Administrative experience in the operation of a large Learning Management System (e.g. Moodle)
* Knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Bootstrap is helpful.
* Experience with online creative and project management tools (Canva, Kaltura, Monday)
* Knowledge of Project Management frameworks and best practice.

Education / Experience Requirements:
* Third level qualification in a relevant discipline
* Ideally two years’ experience in a similar environment
* Strong technical experience with Moodle LMS (administration, configuration, and support)
* Experience with digital product and system ownership and administration.
* Understanding of integrations using APIs, SSO, and related technologies
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
* Experience in eLearning, content production, design, and development.
Additional Comments on the Role:
The accountabilities will change as the department and IOB moves through transformation. The postholder will need to have proven ability to adapt to organisational change.
